Cisco and Barry then set to work figuring out how to open a portal to the Mirror Universe, because the technology Cisco brought back didn't solve their problem. During their brainstorming session, something strange happens, and Barry begins to predict exactly what Cisco is going to say before he says it. At first, this scares Cisco, but he quickly realizes what is happening: the artificial power of speed has given Barry improved cognition, or, more simply, quick thinking. In fact, Barry is able to perceive and process information and stimuli faster than a computer. At first, this skill seems like a blessing, because it allows the Flash team to act faster. But then it turns out that there is a catch.
