With the Outbreak under his control, Rosso attacks the Central City and turns most of its inhabitants into his"Blood Brothers and Sisters". Cisco and Iris argue about how to save Barry and stop Rosso, but both of their plans fail. However, Rosso decides not to convert them in favor of implementing the final phase of his plan: to take a particle accelerator to spread his blood throughout the Central City. As he sneaks inside, Cisco and Iris realize that during their last meeting, Barry used his connection to Rosso to secretly rescue them and tell them how to defeat him. Using a combination of Rosso's blood, Particle accelerator, and Allegra's powers, the Flash team undermines Rosso's plan to rid Central City of his influence. Foiling his plan, Rosso transforms into a blood monster to kill the Flash and start over, only to be distracted by his mother's hallucination long enough for the speedster to trap him in Chester Prison. While Rosso is in custody at A. R. G. U. S., the Flash team spends their final moments before the Crisis together, just as the red skies loom over them. Meanwhile, Nash opens a wall of symbols before a blinding light pulls him inside.
