Ralph Dibney is on the trail of Sue Dearbon, whom he has been looking for since last summer in Midway City. Barry, wanting to help Ralph live without him after the crisis, asks to take him with him. Infiltrating a criminal gala, Barry lends them a helping hand and arouses the suspicions of the host, Remington Meister, who has allied himself with the escaped Esperanza. While searching for Dearbon, Barry accidentally captures himself and Ralph and leaves them for dead. As Ralph teaches Barry that both of their identities are important, they manage to escape, defeat Esperanza, and disrupt the Maester's auction; although they do not find the Expensive One. Later, Barry holds a press conference to officially recognize the Elongated Man as one of Central City's defenders. Meanwhile, Nash asks Allegra for help, demanding that her abilities light up a wall filled with eternium that will destroy Earth if it hits. She hesitates, fearing that she will become like Esperanza, but Nash assures her that this will not happen unless she wants to, and she agrees. Elsewhere, Cecile helps Chester regain his life now that his powers have stabilized. After Ralph tells Iris Esperanza and her mysterious benefactors that they showed up at the gala, Rosso attacks him.
