Barry tries to see Grace, but Cicada's reluctant ally Dr. Ambres gets in the way. Later, Barry and Nora stop a freak thunderstorm from hitting the Central City power grid. The Flash team suspects Mark Mardon, even though he is in prison, but Nora and Barry instead encounter his estranged daughter, Joss Jack / the Weather Witch, who wields a weather control staff like her father. Barry and Nora bring Mardon to her to calm her down, but to no avail. An enraged Joss attacks the airport with a lightning tornado, so Barry uses Mardon's wand to absorb Joss ' lightning and subdue her. The Flash team finally discovers the identity of Cicada: Orlin Dwyer. In flashbacks, Orlin is shown adopting Grace after her mother's death in a metahuman attack, and during the connection, the wreckage of DeVoe's satellite put Grace in a coma and impaled Orlin with shrapnel, which later became his dagger. Blaming the Metahumans for what happened, Orlin vowed to destroy them all on Grace's behalf.
