The Flash team reads Nora's diary and learns that she discovered her powers and attitude towards Flash after subsequent encounters with two speedsters: August Heart / Godspeed and Thawne. A flash forward reveals that Nora works as a medical examiner, just like her father. After being hit by Godspeed, Nora discovers that she has been implanted with a chip that has weakened her powers, causing a rift between her and her mother. After Godspeed's citywide rampage kills Nora's best friend and colleague Leah, Thawne helps Nora control her newfound powers and defeat the rampaging speedster, after which he becomes her mentor, just as he did for Barry. With Thawne's help, Nora finds the Time Vault, where she learns that her father was the Flash. In the present, Iris frees Nora out of guilt after learning of her future self-deception, but Barry sends her back to her own time out of disbelief, stating that he will be able to sense any future attempts she made to travel through time. Barry then visits Thawne in Iron Heights, rejoicing that Thawne is awaiting execution for his crimes.
