The Flash team tracks down Edwin Gauss ' final meth bus, but is followed by Samuroid, who injures Caitlin. The team rushes back to the S. T. A. R. lab to regroup and heal. Caitlin tells Iris that Killer Frost is being activated by her adrenal glands, and she is working to separate them. Harry introduces a tuning fork weapon that mimics Izzy's abilities and can defeat DeVoe. Ralph reveals to Barry that he is not afraid of losing his own life, but the Flash team is losing them, as he considers them family. In DeVoes attacks S. T. A. R. Labs, during which Harry overloads his Thinking Cap and falls. DeVoe eventually manages to master the abilities of Gauss, Janet Petty, and Matthew Kim before transferring her mind into Ralph's body. The team tries to stop him, but Devo incapacitates them and changes Caitlin's DNA, removing dark matter and the Frost Killer before leaving. Back in his lair, Devo uses Ralph's morphing abilities to assume his original likeness, while he and Marlise plan their next move to destroy the Flash team.
