While doing Christmas shopping, Barry is ambushed and kidnapped by DeVoe, and Caitlin is abducted from Amun's Jitters. Iris claims that they should look for both of them, despite Harry's claim that they don't have enough time and resources and that they can only afford to look for one. Amunet forces Caitlin to perform surgery on a metahuman named Dominic Lance, who can read minds. They try to escape, but Amunet blocks their exit. Caitlin manages to briefly disable the Amunet, so that she and Dominic can escape from the building where they are being held. Once outside, they were saved by Cisco and Ralph, as Iris decided to focus on finding Caitlin. Barry manages to escape from Devo. The Flash team is celebrating Christmas at the West House, and Dominic joins them. Barry gets an alarm from his apartment. When he arrives, he gets a call from Dominic, who tells him that Amunet has kidnapped Dominic again, and DeVoe has transferred his consciousness into Dominic's body. Barry discovers Devo's original body dead on the floor of his apartment and realizes that Devo framed him for " murder»; the police arrive, and Barry allows himself to be arrested, not wanting to leave Iris again.
