Savitar decides to drag Barry through the city while beating him up to demonstrate his superiority. Cisco and Caitlin arrive to rescue Barry, and Savitar escapes. Caitlin, taking on the role of Frost's Killer, furiously interrogates one of the Alchemy followers at the CCPD headquarters. When Julian catches her, she forces him to find other acolytes so they can lead her to Alchemy, which can apparently remove her powers. Barry and Cisco track her down and put her in jail, but the team splits after she reveals Barry's role in Dante's death, creating a "Flashpoint". " Greatly disturbed and oblivious to the consequences, Joe rips Wally out of the cocoon. Wally appears at an unmanageable speed, and he rushes away in a confused state. Barry offers his life to Caitlin for her freedom in a successful attempt to restore her sanity and get her help in treating Wally. Joe and Barry find Wally by stabilizing him with Caitlin's serum, and Wally soon accepts his new abilities. Julian agrees to protect Caitlin from the police, but forces Barry to resign from the CCPD in exchange, deeming him morally unfit to want Caitlin protected. It is later revealed that Julian is engaged in Alchemy and works for Savitar.
