Barry starts training to get faster so he can stop Zoom. While on vacation with friends at the club, Barry and other club regulars were robbed by an unknown speedster, who then escaped. The speedster turns out to be Elise Harmon, a Mercury Labs employee who developed Velocity-9 from samples that Caitlin gave her to help with Jay's illness. Operating under the alias "Trajectory", Harmon invades the S. T. A. R. lab, imprisons Barry, and demands more V-9s. After she threatens Jessie's life, Wells and Caitlin make more of the drug for Harmon, who then races to wreak havoc in the city. Barry manages to stop her before she injects more V-9 into her system. Barry watches as Harmon's speed becomes so intense that her lightning turns blue and she disintegrates. Jessie decides to leave town to experience the world on her own and stop Wells from doing harmful things just to protect her. Based on what Barry saw due to the overuse of the V-9, the similarities between Zoom speed and Jay's illness, and Cisco's "vibration", the team concludes that Jay is Zoom.
