Jay explains to everyone that he is a Flash on a parallel Earth and that he was in a battle with a demonic speedster named Zoom when the singularity brought him to this Earth without his powers. Stein confirms this statement by describing their world as "Earth-1" and Jay's world as "Earth-2". Zoom brings in another metahuman from Earth-2 named Sand Demon, later identified as Eddie Slick, to kill the Flash. Cisco analyzes the "sand" left behind, and he has a vision of the previous battle, frightening him. After Slick kidnaps Officer Patty Spivot, Jay teaches Barry how to throw lightning bolts. Cisco uses his power to find Patty's whereabouts. Barry uses a lightning strike to turn the Sand Demon's particles into glass, killing it. Patty tells Joe that Mark Mardon killed her father. She joins Joe's metahuman task force. Cisco reveals his ability to Stein, and convinces him that you won't tell anyone. Stein and Cisco were able to detect 52 breaches with Earth-2, with the largest of them located in the S. T. A. R. Labs itself. Joe's ex-wife, Francine, pays him a visit. Stein collapses while talking. On Earth-2, it is revealed that Harrison Wells of this world is alive and in charge of S. T. A. R. Labs.
